Amir Khan:From Baazi to Talaashh

"Talaash: The Answer Lies Within" is an upcoming Hindi psychological thriller film written and directed by Reema Kagti , the film will feature Aamir Khan as a cop on mission. The film also has Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles.
It is not the first time that Amir Khan is playing onscreen Cop role,His earlier cop roles were appreciated in Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Baazi' and John Matthew Matthan's 'Sarfarosh'.
In 'Baazi' Amir Khan played a role of Inspector Amar Damjee who discover the hidden criminal and gun smuggler in the Mumbai underworld. .
The role of  IPS Ajay Singh Rathod in 'Sarfarosh' fetched him not only the commercial success but also the image of a thinking actor. In addition to it, the film had realistic action sequences where Aamir had to look like normal human. Vikram Bhatt's 'Ghulam' was also released in the same year but both the films showcased Aamir Khan in entirely different role.
Khan was an actor with boyish image till 'Ghulam' who could also carry seriousness of the character if required but 'Sarfarosh' needed him to leave the star quotient completely.
However, it's been 13 years since Aamir has played his last cop role and it would be really interesting to see whether he goes for the same style of acting or changes the act altogether.

Department Review & Story

Ratting: * 1/2
Directed by Ram Gopal Varma
Produced by Siddhant Oberoi, Amit Sharma
Written by Nilesh Girkar
Music by Bappi Lahiri
Starring: Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati,Madhu Shalini, Lakshmi Manchu, Nathalia Kaur

The government officials hold a secret meeting in which they take a decision to create a new unit which is unofficially referred to as ‘Department’. This special task force is formed to  finish the underworld by stepping over the law's boundaries.
Shiva Narayan (Rana Daggubati). An honest and daredevil cop, He joins a new department led by Sr.Inspector Mahadev Bhosale (Sanjay Dutt) where their job is to finish the crime in Mumbai City. Their prime focus are the gangs of Gauhri  and Sauthiya (Vijay Raaz), together they approach their task with ease in order to maintain peace  in the city. In one operation Shiva saves life of a Gangster-turned-Politician Sarjerao Gaikwad (Amitabh Bachchan) who after this incident begins to supporting Shiva. What happens next is what the entire film is about.
The first half of the film is a crap, where Inspector Mahadev Bhosle (Sanjay Dutt), the boss of Mumbai's Department and Rana Daggubati (Shiv), goes on killing bunch of underworld gangs.

Amitabh Bachchan's deadly avatar in the film is sure to impress you all. He induces life in the film with his power-packed performance. The tall and beafy Rana Daggubati has no better job except beating up the goons throughout the movie. His cold expressions and unpolished Hindi is a sure let down. Sanjay Dutt's performance is average. Madhu Shalini deserves a compliment for her bold and tough role in the movie. Madhu plays a tough competition to all the men in the movie. Unlike, Lakshmi Manchu and Anjana Sukhani, Madhu Shalini won't go unnoticeable. Vijay Raaz performs well.

What’s Gud

Nothing is good except Amithabh Bachchan’s acting. Amitabh Bachchan is outstanding in his cameo appearance. His all scenes are mind-blowing and the whole character is pretty interesting. If we remove him from this film, the movie ends up like a ‘B’ grade film.

What’s Bad

  • The poor video quality and weird camera angles that distract the viewer; the loud background score. “Camera work tortures your eyes, the sound tortures your ears and the story will torture your brain.
  • The film lacks a good script and too many sub-plots adds confusion to it.
  • The dialogues are mindless due to poor direction.
  • The music is the biggest disaster of  Department.
  • Camera work is very bad ,it seems that you are watching some Home video.
  • On the flip side the entire character of Sanjay Dutt was totally confusing and unexplained.

In short, RGV's Department is a complete waste of time and money.  watch the movie if  you are a fan of Amitabh Bachchan.

Dangerous Ishhq Review & Story

Ratting  : * * *
Director : Vikram Bhatt
Music : Himesh Reshammiya
Star Cast : Karisma Kapoor, Rajniesh Duggall, Jimmy Shergil, Divya Dutta, Aarya Babbar and Gracy Singh.

Dangerous Ishhq- as the title shows, is the complicated love story of super model Sanjana (Karisma Kapoor) and son of a business tycoon Rohan (Rajniesh Duggall). Both fall in love and  As they decide to get married Rohan is kidnapped and Sanjana survives with head injury. But after the injury she starts to see images of her and Rohan, but in different get up. She along with her best friend Neetu (Divya Dutta) approaches a doctor who takes her in Past therapy. This therapy takes her to 1947 (Pakistan) and 1658 (Daultabad). With help of these therapies she along with ACP Singh (Jimmy Shergil) tries to solve the kidnapping case. Will they succeed or she might lose Rohan , well that what the entire film about.

Story has chapters from four different eras (2012, 1947, 1658 & 1535). Few stories are average but the last one is superb. The makers have tried to connect the stories with real events like India Pakistan Partition, War with Aurangzeb, Meera Bai references and more. The first half is good but little bit lengthy, but as we move in second half the movie becomes more interesting and gripping.
Karishma Kapoor  is back with a big bang. Dangerous Ishhq  rests on the strong shoulders of the actress, as she delivers an outstanding  performance. She will shock you with her Action and stunt. It’s  good  to watch her switch lanes and portay women from different eras and cultures. Rajniesh Duggall plays his part well. Jimmy Shergill surprises once again after Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster.
Aarya Babbar and Gracy Singh leave an impact. Samir Kochhar too plays his part well.

What’s Gud

  • Music by Himesh Reshamiya is good and could force you to watch the movie, songs like ‘Tu Hi Rab’, ‘Naina Re’ and ‘Rusva’. ‘Lagan Lagi’ and others are good.
  • A superb acting  by Karisma Kapoor, a crispy direction, intelligent editing and cinematography are the strengths.
  • The suspense element at frequent intervals leaves one spell-bound. Quick recall of the past lives with no wastage of time in terms of building of sub-plots is something really remarkable.
  • Few 3D effects (for mass level) and gripping second half of the movie is good.

What’s Bad
  •      Story is predictable in some moments.
  •      Entire movie is focused on Karishma Kapoor ,other actors are wasted.
  •      Screenplay could be better.
  •      Some loopholes in the story line, impact less dialogues, especially in the first half are the weak points.

Overall, with Dangerous Ishhq, Karisma Kapoor is back with her new innings as a powerful actor.
The movie is not outstanding. But on dramatic level it’s not bad either.

The movie is based on 2005 hollywoood movie "Lord of War"

Jannat2 is a crime thriller movie and a sequel to the 2008 hit film Jannat which was based on Cricket World and Gambling, whereas plot of this movie is about business and Smuggling of gun.there is no similarity between Previous  movie and this movie except Title ,unit and leading actor.
Emraan Hashmi has done same role of Streat Boy in Footpath and there is nothing new in his role, whereas character of ACP Pratap Raghuvanshi played by Randeep Hudda is better than the lead actor’ can not Imagine the Movie without the character of ACP Pratap Raghuvanshi.Randeep hudda has completely justify with his Role.
New comer Isha Gupta had a Challanging Role and she had performed well.

What is Gud

  • Music is one of the reasons that might develop a curiosity and interest  for the film. Songs-”Tu hi mera” & “Deedar Hua” very good to watch.
  • Plot of Movie is new and Challanging ,Kunal Could make the movie Better.
  • Acting by Randeep Hudda is Watchable.
What is Bad
  • In movie there is No chemistry seen between Emraan & Esha Gupta.
  • Story is predictable, dull and extremely boring in the first half. While, the second part too creates no hope for an audience.
  • In film very vulgar Language is used ,some scenes are also very bold and you can not watch the movie with family.
  • Title of film has no connection with the Plot of film.

On the whole, JANNAT 2 is an one time watch Movie.
Jannat2, is not better more than movie -Jannat(2008).
