Story
Teri Meri Kahaani` is a story about soulmates who meet across three eras - 1910, 1960, 2012. with the same two people falling in love with each other again and again.
Their love is so strong that even destiny wants to unite them. The story starts in 1960`s, Bombay with Govind and Ruksar and then moves ahead to present times– 2012, England with Radha and Krish , then goes back in time to Punjab, 1910 with Aradhana and Javed. Will true love prevail or will destiny take its course. Shahid and Priyanka both play three characters in the film.
Priyanka play Aradhana, which is a Sikh girl, a daughter of a freedom fighter in 1910. In 1960, she play a superstar who is an actress in the golden era of cinema and she is from small city of Lucknow. In 2012, she play girl who goes to university and that's Radha. All three characters are tremendously different from each other.
On the other hand Shahid Kapoor also played three different character of Javed,Govind and Krish.
The film has three love stories, which happened in three eras-one is 1910, 1960 and 2012
Teri Meri Kahaani is a triple-treat tale of love and romance, which weaves three stories spanning over different eras into one single flick.
The stunning pair(Shahid and Priyanka) has also starred together in Kaminey, which was released in 2009.

Review

Shahid Kapoor is undoubtedly superb.. He doesn't disappoint but one expects more from the talented actor. To pull-off three drastically different characters – one of a well-mannered simple  (Govind), another of the flirtatious Javed and finally of the modern, practical, typical boy, Krish – is definitely a tough job and Shahid has managed each role with a remarkable finesse. Priyanka Chopra also on the other hand, has three different roles but she fail to deliver his best performance.Priyanka Chopra is overtly expressive at times. One could blame their average acts or latent chemistry to the mediocre script. From thethree stories, both get better scope in the pre-independent era Prachi Desai and Neha Sharma do not get much scope.

What’s Gud
  • Shahid Kapoor’s outstanding acting is plus point.
  • Music by Sajid-Wajid is pretty decent.
  • The old-film-feel minus the over-the-top melodrama.

What’s Bad
  • The extremely slow pace.
  • The mindless love stories.
  • Priyanka Chopra’s static acting.
  • The love stories are predictable

Watch or Not
Watch the movie if you are a fan of Shahid Kapur.

  1. The beautiful sets, the old-time feel and the beautiful picturisation will make you nostalgic of the old movies. But the first few sets in the 1960s appear unrealistic. The music by Sajid-Wajid is pretty decent. Director Kunal Kohli could’ve done a much better job than this one for sure. Watched it at Wave, Ludhiana with my friends!
